I created this lovely oil using the enfleurage method of extraction. Early this summer, I harvested only the blooms at their peak and processed them immediately. The oil was extracted under refrigeration for two and a half months.

Gardenia Essential Oil is an irritant and should never be used undiluted on the skin. Mixing the essential oil with a light oil or vegetable fat works well for perfumery. (The vegetable fat will not add any additional aromas whereas other oils might.)
